Ages ago, I’m thinking about five years, I made a hundred of these reindeer postcards.
Months and months I spent making them, our tiny house in Hither Green was covered in little orange shreds of card. Then I posted them, all but two, to people who I thought might be interested in my work. I had one reply by email, from a true gent in Gateshead. He wanted to let me know how much he liked it. His words were very much appreciated, and I still think of them sometimes. Anyway, so is life.
I rediscovered little Rudolf recently, and thought to myself I might make some more, only this time using my red shirts for the noses. I called myself The Upcyclist in those days, so I’ve updated the card by adding my name and remounting it. I can’t remember anything about the map I used, but this section is the English Channel.
You can find this card in my shop.
All I need to do now, is find the last remaining card. I put it somewhere ‘safe’ so I could give it to a friend. The reindeer was standing on Margate, which is particularly fitting for this friend. If you’re reading C, you’ll get it one day.
I have not mentioned the ‘C’ word once (well, apart from my friend), but apologies anyway.
Have a great weekend,
