Karl Lagerfeld, whose Specsavers’ glasses ooze urban glamour combined with a classic twist. Okay.
Now, I think this is funny. But…
I am writing this post on 10th June. A very good friend of mine is on a train North. A place we still refer to as home. We have lived in The South for nearly thirty years, each. She needs a bit of cheering up. Here is the text conversation we are currently having:
Me: Safe Trip xxxx See if you can pull on the train
Her: Unlikely. I’m on my 3rd cold and I’ve got the runs. Going to sit comatose until Alnmouth x
Me: Never mind, I have great news: Karl Lagerfeld has designed some glasses for specsavers and they ooze urban glamour! Combined with a classic twist!
Her: I don’t go to specsavers, but will look them up. thanks x
If You Are New Here: This project involves me sewing faces, from the obscene amount of junk mail that finds its way into my house, onto a big woollen blanket. ‘Uninvited’ was the working title, until I changed it to ‘Mostly Uninvited’. Unless I tell you otherwise, take it that the junk mail was pushed through my letterbox. Or else it was inside of a newspaper. I will always credit photographers, designers and the faces, whenever possible. All of my work is numbered, this is 632. If you search this number in ‘Categories’, you can find out about the other faces.
