Some Old Men

822

I have made a few cards from vintage knitting patterns.

You can see the documents below, so you know what they looked like before I cut them up.

The no-longer-available Sylko thread is beautiful, giving the smoothest stitching experience I have ever had. Fact not euphemism.

Printed around 1965, is my guess, since the prices are ‘old money’.

I have paired them up with those Waverly envelopes.

All of my work is individually numbered. The camera guy is 822, the older man is 823, and, the pipe man is 824.

They may be used as Father’s Day cards, or they may not, and will start appearing in my Folksy Shop over the next few days.

Fake News Is Killing Minds

I have finished ‘Fake News Is Killing Minds’, but until today have not been able to take photographs.

If you are new to this project, you can find an explanation here.

Napkin Diary For November 2014

This is a much better photo of my napkin diary for November 2014, and below are the links explaining the images and words.

Plus, I don’t think I mentioned that it is mounted onto a page from an old wallpaper samples book, given to me by my friend, Annie.

I have stitched four diary napkins for 2014. One for June (exhibited at The Mall Galleries, November, 2014), one for October, and, one for May.

All of my work is numbered, this is piece 612.

Storm Doris Is Finished

I have finished ‘Storm Doris Is Coming’, which was started on February 1st, 2017. It’ll be a while before I tackle another month’s-worth of news. (Will be posting ‘Fake News Is Killing Minds’, shortly, if you were wondering what happened to it).

If you are new to this project, you can find an explanation here.

It is listed in my shop, and I am now going to have a cup of tea.

Storm Doris Is Coming At Some Point

I have completed the 28 days of February (2017), I just need to add the first day of March and the last day of January.

Storm Doris Is Still Coming

Eighteen Squares done, twelve to go.

Storm Doris Is Coming

Just started assembling ‘Storm Doris Is Coming’, my second ‘February News’ piece. So much easier this time, as I’m sewing onto fabric rather than thick card.

My friend, Cathy, gave me the fabric quite a long time ago.

Four Squares done, twenty-six to go.

All of my work is individually numbered, this piece is 816.

I am aware that I haven’t posted a picture of ‘Fake News Is Killing Minds’ in its finished state, but London has been rather dark and I have been unable to take a decent photograph.
