15. Men’s Stuff Patchwork – The Tie

“You can be 24 and continue to live like you’re at college, or even continue to live like you’re in high school. Or you can put on a shirt and tie and pretend to be an adult.” Ezra Koenig.

Mr. S never wears a tie unless absolutely necessary, and then he removes it as soon as possible. Same with me.

Well, I had to include at least one piece of junk mail in this patchwork. This Charles Tyrwhitt leaflet came into my house uninvited. The photographer is uncredited.

I like that tie-look sported by Diane Keaton in Annie Hall.

This is the fifteenth square of a patchwork of so-called men’s stuff. It is made from discarded books, magazines, postcards and junk mail. There are sixteen squares in total. You can see the whole piece here.

All of my work is individually numbered, this piece is 799. It can be found in my shop.
